During the months of January and February grades K-5 will be working on our Fitness curriculum with a unit of Cardio Drumming and Jump Rope. Mrs. Doris and I will be combining classes to integrate Physical Education and Music for the Cardio Drumming unit. We have been looking forward to this collaboration for a very long time and we are so excited!
Grades 6-8 Will be incorporating basketball into our fitness curriculum. Students will be introduced to Cardio Drumming, Participate in Jump Rope Ninja, and jump rope skills. Students will also be reviewing basketball skills and playing in a basketball games.Â
As we look forward to the Winter Olympics this year we will be learning about some of the games that the athletes participate in during the games. I hope we all can watch and experience these amazing athletes achievements.
