How can I help at home?

    • Check that assignment pads are being filled out with the homework by your child

          • We are working on independence and accountability--it is their responsibility to do this daily

    • Ask to see the notes/review guides (I always send via Google Classroom)

    • Ask if they have all of their supplies they need for school

    • Check the EDUCATE online gradebook system for grade updates to keep tabs on how your child is progressing

    • Math help:

          • Khan Academy has videos that are searchable. These videos and practice problems follow our curriculum and go along with exactly what we are doing in class!

          • iXL----this app can be accessed by the students at any time! If your child is struggling with multiplication facts, fractions, or other prerequisite skills for middle school math, your child can practice these on iXL.

          • Remind students to refer to their notes if they get stuck on homework

Report Card Breakdown:

1. Summative Assessments (tests/projects/labs) 45%

2. Quizzes 25%

3. Class work and Participation 20%

4. Homework 10%
