I was born and raised in Chicago, and graduated from the University of Illinois with a degree in English Literature. Then I went back to school and did post graduate work in Education for my teaching certificate and middle school endorsements in Social Studies and Language Arts. I have two grown children, Rick and Jessica. Rick is a software engineer and Jessica is a teacher, and I am a grandmother of five! The other picture is my mom and dad.
