1. What is Beta?
  - Beta club promotes the ideas of academic, leadership, achievement, character, service and leadership
    1. Achievement: Recognizing and honoring high academic achievement
    2. Character: Preparing young people for life and empowering them to be successful.
    3. Leadership: Developing the leaders of tomorrow
    4. Service: Demonstrating our motto:

- - The St. Martha Chapter of the National Junior Beta Club is open to students in grades 5th – 8th.
    1. Membership forms can be accepted throughout the year.
    2. Membership forms must be turned in by September 9 in order to participate in officer elections and selecting this year’s beta T-shirt.

- Officer elections - Voting: September 27 at 7:30 am to 7:50 am
  - Speeches from Candidates - September 26 during lunch period
- General Meetings
  - 5th - 8th grade - 1st Tuesday of each month from 3:30 to 4:30 in the FLC
  - Officers - 1st Tuesday of each month during their lunch period.
- Induction
  - TBD
- Service Hours (24 total)
  - 4 Parish
  - 4 Community
  - 4 School
  - 12 select from Parish, Community or School
