The Academic Center at Stillwater high School enables staff to provide targeted academic support for students who qualify for special educations services. The Academic Center supports our belief that special education is a service, not a place.

The Academic Center is open daily 8:30-4:30, including the lunch hour, if requested. Students attend general education classes and rotate into the Academic Center, as needed, to receive individualized academic support.

Time in the Academic Center is based on academic need and the individualized education plan of each student. Providing targeted educational support in the Academic Center allows students to receive the academic assistance they need to be successful in their high school career, while helping increase their confidence.
