Mrs. Kris Tkatch
I'm excited to start my 10th year as the 3rd grade teacher at St. Gregory's! I attended Catholic schools myself from grades 1-12, so I know the importance of the Catholic education that St. Gregory School provides to our students and the community. I started my teaching profession at a Catholic school, Mount Gallitzin Academy, in Baden, Pennsylvania, where I taught 5th grade. Before joining the St. Gregory faculty, I had been working in the Ambridge Area School District doing Title I reading and math support. I wanted to have my own homeroom again, and this is what brought me to St. Gregory's!
On a personal note, I live in Cranberry Township with my husband and three wonderful sons. I am a member at St. Ferdinand's Parish and taught 4th grade CCD there for many years. I received my Bachelors of Science in Education from Kent State University and worked on my reading specialist certificate at Slippery Rock University.
The students will work hard and have fun as they grow academically and in their Catholic faith. I look forward to a wonderful school year and getting to know the new 3rd students and families!
