St. Athanasius School Library Mission Statement
The primary purpose of the St. Athanasius School Library is to support the school’s mission by:
Providing physical and intellectual access to information and literature in a warm, stimulating, and safe environment;
Maintaining a collection of library materials that offers a full range of instructional and informational resources that students need to meet their curriculum goals and to develop as lifelong readers; and
Providing instruction and practice in using ideas and information for effective learning.
The school library enriches and supports the educational program of the school through a well-planned and maintained collection. It is the duty of the school library to provide a wide range of materials in varying levels of difficulty, with diversity of appeal, and presentation of different points of view.
