Audition Materials Folder 

All students who audition WILL be cast! No one will be cut. Every role is important; auditions are done to provide the directors with the information we need to cast everyone in the role they need to be in to make the show a success.

Full track - In a World of My Own - just for your information, if you'd like to hear how the audition clip fits into the whole song.

Mrs. Scholz recorded a practice guide for you of what she went over at the meeting for the part split at the end of the song. Listen to this track and practice along with her, then practice on your own with the audio clip.

Alice audition lower note option - If the song goes too high for you, here is an option for popping down the octave. 

Recording your audition video:

1. Find a quiet space to record, without visual or auditory distractions.

2. Ask someone to help you frame your shot - we need you in the picture, from about the waist up. We need to see your face and hear you clearly.

3. Record your dialogue: Clearly speak your first and last name, what grade you are in, and which part you will be doing. (Your helper should read the other 2 parts. They should not be in the picture.)  

4. Save your file with your name like this: ArielScholzDialogue    and upload it to your folder in this shared Google Drive:

5. Record your song: Clearly speak your name and grade. Your helper should hit play on the device you are playing the music on (this should not be the device you are recording on - the audio can get messed up if you try that). Again, we should be able to see you clearly from the waist up, and hear both your voice and the music.

6. Save your file with your name like this: ArielScholzSong    and upload it to your folder in the above shared Google Drive.
