Philosophy of Counseling

I believe that my role is not just one of a counselor, but a collaborator, advocate, educational leader, coordinator, and agent of change, promoting each child's educational, emotional, and physical growth. Every member of our community shares responsibility in the education and personal development of our students.

I believe that each child is unique and singular, possessing intrinsic personal worth and dignity, who is deserving of unconditional positive regard and respect. Each child deserves opportunities to reach their maximum potential.

I believe that each child deserves a quality education in which they are appreciated and accepted for who they are regardless of their race, gender, ethnicity, religion, sexuality, or socio-economic status. Safe, nurturing, inclusive, and flexible environments remove barriers to learning and help ensure they reach their full potential.
