Behavior Management

Classroom behavior is a very important aspect of the learning process, not only for ourselves, but for those around us as well. It is very important that we understand that our students are in 1st grade and some may actually be experiencing a classroom setting for the very first time in their lives, while some may be very familiar.

Class Dojo is a web based program that allows teachers to communicate specific behavior trends to parents. Once you have your access code (provided by me) you can go to Class Dojo Website to create an account and/or sign in to view your child's behavior. Students will get Positive or Negative points for behaviors during the day and then record their point total for the day on their daily behavior sheet which is located in their red daily folder. Please make sure that you sign and return this folder each day.

We all know that sometimes our kids can be "little monsters", but we love them anyway!!

If you are familiar with the clip chart/color system and have used it at Beneke before, here is a chart to help you understand how the two systems compare to each other.
