Classroom Management Strategies

Successful classroom managers...

-put procedures in place at the beginning of the year

-have systems in place for EVERYTHING (turning in work, distributing materials, etc)

-use verbal and visual attention signals (ex. "I need your HELP." Students raise hands.)

-use timers to pace the lesson

-use anchor charts and other resource centers for students to seek assistance

-empower students to teach one another
