Spelling Procedure

Every Monday, students will be introduced to the new spelling pattern.


-Monday: Separate the words by syllables and define 10 words

-Tuesday: Define the 10 remaining words

-Wednesday: Use 10 words in a sentence

-Thursday: Use the remaining 10 words in a sentence.


-Friday: Spelling Test

Students will receive STAAR practice that focuses on specific skills and strategies that are taught in the classroom. It is important when practicing, students use all testing strategies.
