Class Norms

Grades/Assignments

Each six weeks grade will consist of the following:

Daily Grades 50%

Major Grades and Test 50%

On all assignments, if a student scores below a 70, they have 3 days to complete an alternative assignment related to the curriculum.

Incomplete assignments will be stamped as late and may be finished per the late work policy.

Students will be assigned major projects each six weeks that will require outside work in addition to regular homework or reading assignments.

Assignments will be partner or group collaborations. There will be several measures put in place to enforce equal level of participation.

RMS CHANGE AGENTS SUCCESS SOCIETY

CLASSROOM SAFETY SERGEANT AGENT: (at least 1 per class-selected by classroom teacher) facilitates with classroom responsibilities of all others, makes classroom-wide decisions with the teacher. Other duties of the sergeant includes: • keeps all peers on task with stating the CHAMPS levels of the day and giving CHAMPS • helps teacher select and manage classroom specialist, • serves as the classroom messenger for the teacher

CLASSROOM SAFETY SPECIALIST AGENT: (different roles each class-selected by classroom teacher) facilitates the flow and the success of the classroom by managing a specific role (i.e. attendance clerk, class tardy clerk, display helper, nurse buddy, class ambassador, librarian, paper manager).
