"Taking the time to create something by hand is the highest honor you can give any one thing." Sara Carter

60% (Evaluation) is based on the final product for each art assignment and the semester test.

The attendance and tardy policy is that stipulated by the high school. See the Student Handbook

Missing tests may be made up during the quarter in which they were originally scheduled.

If a student is not in his/her seat when the bell rings, he/she is tardy. Students will remain in their desks until the bell rings at the end of the period.

If you are not in your assigned seat you are absent.

DISCIPLINE

Students who are a disruption to teaching and students working will lose studio points. What you do matters.

ATTENDANCE:

If absent due to a school activity, work must be completed BEFORE being gone, and the student must be prepared for class when he/she returns (i.e., assignment completed and ready to take quizzes or tests scheduled for that day).

If unexcused or the work was not completed on time (which is when I collect it), it is a zero and cannot be turned in late.

Tardies: Students must be in their assigned seats when the bell rings, or they will be counted tardy.

ACADEMIC DISHONESTY

Cheating will result in a zero for that assignment or test and a discipline referral to the Vice Principal and the student’s parents. The school policy on cheating, found in the handbook, will be followed.
