The most important part of being an artist is engaging in the work of being an artist.

All great artists worked extremely hard to achieve their goals. There are key characteristics that are required to develop as an artist, and one of the primary goals of this class is to foster these qualities.

Expectations:   -Perseverance and determination

-Attention to detail

-Being organized with one’s materials

-Organizing, cleaning, and generally maintaining the art space (i.e., our studio classroom).

-An awareness of, and respect for, other artists and people using the art space
