Hello! My name is Megan LaFayette. I graduated in December 2016 from Black Hills State University with a degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Early Childhood Education. I completed my student‐teaching in the Spearfish School District and worked three different long‐term substitute positions in Spearfish. For the past several years, I have been working at Creekside as a Title I interventionist—and I absolutely love it. This upcoming school year, I will be focusing on math interventions across all three grade levels.
I grew up in Lead, SD, but I’m thrilled to call Spearfish my forever home! My husband, Rob, and I have two amazing children: Dean, who is a senior, and Samantha, who is a sophomore. They keep us busy with all of their activities! In my free time, I enjoy reading, baking and decorating cakes, playing volleyball, golfing with my friends or family, working on puzzles, and doing word searches.
