I began my career as a school counselor in Rosebud, South Dakota at Todd County High School. I spent two years there before I was given the opportunity as a school counselor at Spearfish High School for four years. That road led me to my first administrative position as the Spearfish Middle School Assistant Principal and Activities Director, which I held for 10 years. This opportunity provided many challenges and opportunities to prepare me to be the principal at Creekside Elementary School.
Spearfish has been a great place for employment and an even better place to raise a family. Our little family of five has enjoyed many opportunities this community has provided for us. I have a wonderful wife and three daughters that I take great pride in.
I am a graduate from the University of South Dakota in 2006 with my Bachelor of Science in Psychology/Criminal Justice, I received my Masters of Arts in Educational Psychology and Counseling in 2009, and my Specialist in Education in Administration in 2012.
