I’m excited to have you in class this year. With your effort and cooperation, this class will be both challenging and fun.
Classroom Expectations
Be on time. Be ready to work when the bell rings. Bathroom passes are for the second half of class.
Be prepared. Bring your binder, Chromebook, writing tools, and reading book every day.
Be respectful. Listen, stay open-minded, and treat others with kindness.
Ask for help. If you’re confused, speak up—I’m here to help.
Stay focused. Use class time wisely. Phones stay in lockers.
Wait to be dismissed. No early packing—I’ll get you out on time.
If you’re absent, check the daily agenda and follow up with me if needed.
Materials (Bring Daily!)
Binder (2 sections + lined paper) (graded) Note: A binder with a pocket for a book is ideal OR you can make one out of a gallon freezer bag.
A journal which is separate from your binder–a composition notebook is fine

Assignment pad (graded)
Charged chromebook
A book (class novel or independent reading)
