Hi everyone!! My name is Michelle Burdett and I am currently one of the Board Certified Behavior Analysts in the Sparta Township School District. I am married to my husband CJ, who is a Math teacher in Mt. Olive. We have 3 children: Jaxon, Breken, and Corbin, who are very active in sports!
My Story:
I graduated from William Paterson University in 2004 with a Teacher of the Handicapped degree. I started my career in Hillside, NJ at the Saybrook School in 2004. I moved to Sparta in 2005. I knew I loved Sparta and immediately applied to the Sparta School District. I started working at Sparta Middle School as one of the LLD teachers during the 2005/2006 school year. I pursued my Master in the Art of Teaching degree and graduated in 2008. Since then, I have worked in Sparta Middle School and Sparta High School. In 2018, I earned a certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis from Capella University and passed the National Board Certification to become a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. I began the role of one of the Sparta Township District Behaviorists in 2018 and have loved working on behavior change within the district since. I am currently pursuing my Doctorate in Educational Leadership with a Specialization in Special Education.
