1. Similar to all high school courses, students in Honors Algebra 1 or CP Algebra 1 will take a cumulative final exam at the end of the school year. This exam will cover content from the entire course of study and will count as 10% of the overall yearly average.
2. Students in Pre-Algebra will also take a cumulative final assessment at the end of the school year. This exam will cover content from the entire course of study and will count as a heavier weighted summative assessment, as part of the 4th marking period grade.
Student Yearly Averages will be calculated as follows, for students in Honors Algebra 1 and CP Algebra 1:
(0.225*MP1 + 0.225*MP2 + 0.225*MP3 + 0.225*MP4 + 0.10*FINAL EXAM)
Student Yearly Averages will be calculated as follows, for students in Pre-Algebra:
(MP1 + MP2 + MP3 + MP4) / 4
Students should bring a calculator, TI30xIIs, with them to class each day.
