Week 7: Let's celebrate Cinco de Mayo

Tuesday is Cinco de Mayo.

Cinco de Mayo means the 5th of May.

It is a great day to celebrate Mexican culture in the United States.

There are many ways that we can celebrate Mexican culture. One way is through art. I thought we could brighten up our homes by making colorful flowers, like you might see at celebrations in Mexico. All you need is tissue paper, a scissors, and a pipe cleaner or wire. If you don't have wire, a string or yarn will work too. Have fun making these beautiful flowers! If it's okay with your parents, please ask them to share a picture of you with your flowers so that I can share it with others on our art website.
