My name is Greg Kapusinski and I am entering my 14th year at SEP. I have taught Algebra 1, 2, Pre-Calculus, DMACC Statistics, DMACC Finite Math, and AP Statistics while at SEP. I also currently coach track and have coached football and volleyball in the past.
Background and Education
I grew up in a small town, Fulton, IL. I grew up with an older brother (Doug), who is an aquatic ecologist in Ohio, and a twin sister (Andrea), who is a music teacher at Bettendorf High School. I graduated (2003) from a high school of about 380 students. While in high school, I was in football, track, band, chorus, and thespians. After graduating form high school, I went to college at Central College in Pella, IA. I graduated in 2007 with a major in Mathematics and a teaching endorsement (also received a coaching endorsement in 2008). While in college, I had the opportunity to student teach at SEP and was lucky enough to get a job here. Since graduating from Central, I have obtained a Master's Degree in Education from Viterbo University in LaCrosse, WI (2010).
Personal Information
I now live in Carlisle with my wife (Kristin), son (Cade - 8), and daughter (Lena - 6). My wife is a reading interventionist at Carlisle Elementary School and has been there for 14 years as well. I love spending time with my family and doing anything outside with them! I am an avid Chicago Blackhawks, Cubs, Cleveland Browns, Indians, Cavaliers and Ohio State Buckeye fan! I also enjoy football, hockey, baseball, basketball, softball, and about anything else involving sports. Aside from sports, I like to fish, read, play games, play cards, play video games and travel.
