FAQ
How do these standards differ from the old ones?
The new standards are aligned with the internationally recognized ISTE Student Standards. They focus less on learning how to use technology and more on how students apply tech to solve problems, collaborate, create, and think critically. There’s also an intentional emphasis on computational thinking, digital citizenship, and emerging technologies like AI.
Do they apply to all grades?
Yes. The standards are designed for K–12 students and structured to be developmentally appropriate across grade bands. Integration can and should begin in the early grades and build over time.
