Ms. Albuquerque has been teaching at Smithfield High School since 2000. She earned her BA in Secondary Education, Mathematics from Rhode Island College and a Master's degree in Education from the University of New England.
Mr. Adelio Cabral has been teaching at Smithfield High School since 1989. He has been department chair since 1996. He earned his BA in Secondary Education, Mathematics from Rhode Island College in 1988.
He is a Smithfield resident involved in Smithfield Youth Soccer as referee coordinator. In his free time, Mr. Cabral enjoys officiating soccer games, golf, eating, and spending time with family. He is married and a proud father of four Smithfield High School graduates. MATH IS POWER!
Mr. Kevin Cullen has been teaching at Smithfield High School since 1990. He obtained his BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Rochester. After a brief stint working as an engineer, he decided to change career paths. He attended the Teacher Certification Program at URI, then earned his MAT in mathematics from Providence College.
He is married with three children. A former coach here at the high school, Mr. Cullen then spent time coaching his own children in both soccer and basketball youth leagues. His children are now college and high school age so he spends his remaining free time golfing, cooking, and traveling.
Mr. Michael Deslauriers has been teaching at Smithfield High School since 2001. Before coming to Smithfield he taught at North Smithfield High School for three years and Attleboro High School for two years before that. He earned his BA in Secondary Education, Mathematics from Rhode Island College. He then went to Providence College to get his MAT in Mathematics. He currently teaches AP Statistics EEP, AP Computer Science A EEP, AP Computer Science Principles EEP, CyberSecurity EEP and a semester course of Computing and Data Science EEP.
In his free time, Mr. Deslauriers enjoys fishing, boating, volleyball, biking, hiking, and golf. He is married and has a son attending URI and a daughter attending WSU.

Mr. Benjamin Robertson has been teaching at Smithfield High School since 2009. Before coming to Smithfield, he studied Civil Engineering at the University of Rhode Island before transferring to Rhode Island College where he received his BA in Secondary Education and Mathematics.
In his free time Mr. Robertson enjoys playing the guitar, sports, outdoor activities, and spending time with friends and family. He has a lovely wife Christine, and his two wonderful children Duncan and Finley.
Mrs. Beth Smith has been teaching at Smithfield High School since 2006. Before coming to Smithfield she taught at Calcutt Middle School in Central Falls for two years. She earned her BA in Secondary Education, Mathematics from University of Rhode Island. She is married and has three children.
Mr. Carl Steckert has been teaching at Smithfield High School since 2017. Before coming to Smithfield he taught at Construction and Career Academy in Cranston, RI for three years and Mount Saint Charles High School in Woonsocket, RI for eight years before that. He earned his BA in Secondary Education, Mathematics from University of Rhode Island. He then went to Rhode Island College to get his MA in Mathematics. He currently teaches Geometry and Geometry Honors.
In his free time, Mr. Steckert enjoys skiing, jogging, golf, and spending time with his family. He is married and has a two daughters.
Michael Stone
Mr. Stone has been teaching at Smithfield High School since the spring of 2006. After growing up in Pennsylvania, he graduated from Providence College with degrees in Secondary Education and Mathematics. He lives in Warwick with his wife, two kids, and dog.
Mr. Trudeau has been teaching at Smithfield High School since 2006. Before coming to Smithfield he taught at Shea High School in Pawtucket . He earned his BA in Secondary Education, Mathematics from Rhode Island College. Mr. Trudeau is married and has two sons. He enjoys fishing, golfing, TMNT, and spending time with friends and family.
