This is Robbie's third show with the ROSE Players. He is excited to be working as the sound crew head for The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.
This is Ronnel's second show with Leonardtown's ROSE players! He is elated to be able to play Leaf Coneybear and Jesus Christ in the spring musical, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee! You may have seen Ronnel in the Spring One Acts in 14 More Ways To Screw Up A College Interview playing as multiple interviewees (Jay, Gertrude, Max, and Ballston). Ronnel started musicals in Evergreen Elementary's production of Music Man Jr. where he played Winthrop in 5th grade! After a devastating middle school audition mishap, he never continued his musical career… until now! Ronnel is so grateful for everyone in his loving cast who has welcomed him back to the stage, specifically Faith who ultimately forc- got him to audition! And Brayden, whom he shares a role and a fond friendship with. He feels so grateful for the support of his family: mom, dad, and sister as well as his friend group, with the designated name, Swole Squad. And last but not least Mr. Barbato and Mrs. Teston for seeing the potential he has to entertain the stage. He hopes you enjoy the show and wants you to remember, there's no such thing as “being too silly.”
Imaya plays the clarinet in the pit orchestra. Imaya is also a part of the LHS Marching Band and previously played the clarinet in The Music Man.
This is Devin Bean’s fifth show with the ROSE Players, and he is excited to see how the show turns out. He made prior appearances in the play Macbeth (Donalbain),The Music Man (Newspaper Reader #1), and the one-act ZAP! (Luke, Inspector Swift, and Duke of Buckingham). During this year’s play Devin was an assistant costumer, and in this musical has been aiding the stage management. Devin would like to thank his family for the amount of driving they do and the support they give, Austin Harris for being a great friend and giving him rides when he needed them, and the stage management team for training him and helping prepare him for next year. This is Aleea Best's third show with the ROSE players! Previously, she played in the pit orchestra for White Christmas and The Music Man, and she is excited to continue playing flute for The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. Aleea would like to thank her family, friends, Mr. Martin, and the cast and crew for the wonderful experiences and support she has gained while being apart of this organization.
This is Megan’s sixth show with the ROSE Players and she is so excited for it. Megan has been Run Crew Head for the past five productions, it is always an amazing experience and she is thrilled to work with the cast and crew again. She would like to thank the cast and crew for the support, kindness, friendship, and help along the way. Everybody is always so sweet! The ROSE Players are very dedicated and put so much passion into every show, she would like to pass on that they are all wonderful people and to please enjoy the show!
This is the second ROSE Players show that Maire has been involved in. Beginning theater in elementary school, she has performed in Mother Goose’s Fairy Tales (Raven Maid), Aladdin Jr. (Apple Vendor), Maria Montessori the Musical (Maria Montessori), Mary Poppins Jr. (Mary Poppins), and The Music Man (Alma Hix). In addition, Maire played first chair cellist in the pit band for SMCRP Summerstock’s Children of Eden. She would like to thank her friends and family for supporting her in all her theater endeavors! This is Ava’s sixth show with the ROSE Players, and she’s beyond excited to be working with the cast and crew again! Her favorite shows so far are The Play That Goes Wrong (Run Crew) and The Music Man (Run Crew). She’s helped with Run Crew, House Crew, and has taken on the role of Master Carpenter. This is Sam’s fourth show as a part of the ROSE Players, and he’s ecstatic to be back performing with the ROSE Players again. You’ve seen him in the past In The Music Man as Charlie Cowell, as the concerned Mr. Cottingham in Three Bags Full and today he’ll be performing as Chip Tolentino, little league pitcher and former spelling bee champion in the 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee! This is Ray's second year being a part of ROSE players! They have acted in the past in Macbeth (Porter), and Zap! (Sammy, Irene). For the one-acts, Ray is thankful for their friends, family, and TAM family for who they are now as a person and how they have grown thanks to their theater friends, they now are the head of the front of house and love their job dearly, being a member who interacts with the guest is a thrilling and new experience, while they still love acting and hope to be apart of future shows, they love seeing the smile on the guests' faces after the performances.
This is the second ROSE Players show that Brady has been involved in. You may have seen him in the pit band for The Music Man on trumpet, but this year he has the opportunity to play French horn for The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. Brady has thoroughly enjoyed being a part of the Pit Band and has spent a lot of time learning all the songs for this show. Brady would like to thank his mom for driving him home from school after practice every day, being his biggest supporter, and thanking Mr. Martin for taking the time to help him whenever he needed help with the music. Hannah is thrilled to be Stage Managing her Seventh ROSE Players show! This is her fourth and final year with the ROSE Players. Hannah has recently enjoyed working with the International Thespian Society as the Fundraising Chair for Troupe 7101, and this year's Maryland State Thespian Student Board President. She would like to thank the amazing cast, crew, director, and her amazing team of assistant stage managers (Addi, Devin, and JJ) for all their hard work on this wonderful show! Makayla plays alto saxophone in the pit orchestra. She is very excited about playing in her first musical in the band. Makayla has acted in other plays in elementary and middle school. She started playing alto saxophone in fourth grade and enjoys band and chorus. Makayla would like to thank her parents, grandparents, and friends for supporting her.
This is the third and final ROSE Players production that Austin will be a part of. He is playing the role of Comfort Counselor Mitch Mahoney in 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. You may have also seen him in the production of Three Bags Full playing the eminent polo player Preston Cottingham Junior and in last year’s production of The Music Man (Salesman 4/ Townsperson/Marcellus Understudy). You may have also seen him in last year’s One Act production of 14 Ways to Mess Up a College Interview (The Dean/The Claw/ Mario) and the production of Dinner at Eight, Dead By Nine (Chef Ramon). This is Alyssa’s second show with the ROSE Players, and she is incredibly excited to perform as Logainne Schwartzandgrubenniere and Leaf’s Mom. She performed with the ROSE Players for the first time in Three Bags Full as Charlotte earlier this year, and she has performed with other groups in shows such as Annie (Annie), Almost, Maine (Glory), and The Little Mermaid (Alanna). Logan who is playing the role of William Barfee, is enthusiastic to be back on stage with the LHS R.O.S.E. Players. Previous LHS shows include The Music Man (Quartet-Jacey Squires), White Christmas (Asst Stage Mgr) and Spring 2022/2023 One Acts. He also enjoyed performing at EMS in Elf Jr (Michael Hobbs) and Alice in Wonderland (White Rabbit). At EES Logan performed in The Music Man (Harold Hill) and Beauty and the Beast (Stage Mgr & Wolf). Addison is excited to bring her mallets to the pit for her first show with LHS Rose Players. She is returning to “under” the stage after playing Chip in Beauty and the Beast in the 4th Grade. When she’s not behind her marimba, you can find her spinning her silk and throwing her rifle on the football field and in the gym, performing with the LHS Marching Raiders and St Mary’s County Indoor Color Guard! She’s so excited to be supporting her friends performing in today’s show!!!!

In this year's 25th Putnam County Spelling Bee, Blake will be playing Chip Tolentino, Carl, and Olive’s Dad and is thrilled to be on the stage. They were in Newsies (Newsboy), Children of Eden (Snake), and School of Rock (Security Guard) with SMCRP Summerstock Theater. Today they are performing in 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Mitch Mahoney/Leaf's Dad). Cade hopes everyone in the audience can enjoy the show as much as they enjoyed being a part of it.

This is the third ROSE Players show that Ella has participated in. Ella has enjoyed playing in the Pit Orchestra for The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Synthesizer) this year. Previously she has played the Tenor Saxophone for both The Music Man (Reed 5) and White Christmas (Reed 4). Ella has also played with the Newtowne Players in Into the Woods (Synthesizer). You may have seen Ella on the field playing Tenor Saxophone in the Marching Band or on stage in one of LHS’s many other bands. Ella would like to thank the show’s directors for opening this opportunity to the entire fine arts department as well as her friends and family for putting up with her very chaotic rehearsal schedule!
This is Tyler's second show with the ROSE Players. He is excited to be playing the tuba again for the pit orchestra in the The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.
This is JJ’s second show with the ROSE Players and first year working in the stage management team and he is beyond lucky to be working with such wonderful people. You may have seen JJ in last Fall’s show Three Bags Full (Bascom Barlow Understudy) or the one-act A Little Box of Oblivion (Neuro). JJ is thankful for Fletcher, who drove him home this whole year, Kaelin, for giving her life and soul to this show, Hannah, Addi, and Devin for being the best stage manager, assistant stage manager, and stage manager-in-training, and Mr. Barbato, for making his first year in Leonardtown High School’s theater department as fun as he hoped it would be. He would also like to thank his family for eternally being there with him throughout his first year at Leonardtown High School. To them, I say: Enjoy the show!
This is Brayden’s third show with ROSE Players and he is ecstatic to be able to be in another show with this group of people playing Leaf Coneybear! However, this is his ninth mainstage show. He was in Three Bags Full (Boris) and The Music Man (Tommy Djilas) and back home in Descendants, Christmas Carol, The Nutcracker, Rock of Ages, and two school shows in elementary and middle school The Sky is Falling and The Prince Who Couldn’t Speak.
Axel is excited to be a part of the pit orchestra playing the trumpet. They previously played the trumpet for The Music Man, and is an active part of the LHS Marching Band and symphonic band.
Jayce is very excited to be in his 4th full-length ROSE player production. You may have seen him in Macbeth (Servant) who faced the main character with lots of fear. He was also part of the pit band for The Music Man. He enjoyed all of the productions and the one-acts were his favorite of all the shows from freshman year. This year he has had the opportunity to be the understudy for Preston Cottingham Junior in Three Bags Full and now he is in the pit band for the musical! Though the music has been hard, he has persevered. He is very excited and would like to thank his friends and family for all the support throughout his theater career. Jayce would also like to thank Mr. Martin for always believing in him no matter the challenge. Fletcher is delighted to be performing in his seventh and final main stage show, with the ROSE Players! If you’ve been kind enough to watch any of LHS’s shows in the past few years, you might’ve seen him in White Christmas (Ezekial Foster), The Play That Goes Wrong (Jonathan), Macbeth (Malcolm), Music Man (Mayor Shinn), or maybe even when he lost his mind in Three Bags Full (Bascom Barlow). Just in case this wasn’t enough to know him, you might’ve also seen him in one of Summerstock’s many shows in the past few years, appearing as both ensemble and supporting roles. You might also be able to see his work in the props appearing on stage, whether it be pom poms, pool noodles, magical feet, or comically large dictionaries. Fletcher would like to show a great deal of gratitude towards everyone who got him here today, including his friends, his parents who listened to his constant rehearsing, and all his teachers who dealt with him through each and every tech week. This is Faith’s fourth show with the Leonardtown ROSE players!
