Dynamics Project (Spring 2015)

The purpose of this project is to apply your classroom knowledge to a dynamics problem out in the real world. Working in teams of 3, identify a situation or event where an understanding of dynamics improves the outcome.

Important note: Despite the title of this project, please do not put yourself, your team, or anyone else in danger.

Deliver: A 4-minute video that demonstrates that applying your knowledge of dynamics makes some situation better. You are free (encouraged, really) to use your imagination and creativity in the identification of your dynamics problem, and in presenting your solution. You are free to use whatever resources you can find in producing this video. There will be several GoPro HERO cameras available for checkout.

[To check out the camera, I need a written proposal that indicates your dynamics problem, and what you hope to capture on video. E-mail is an acceptable form of "written" proposal. Cameras can be checked out in class, and must be returned at the next class. You can renew a camera checkout if no one else has requested a camera before the next class.]

Due: Friday, May 1. Your video must be posted to YouTube (or the publicly-accessible social media platform of your choice), and the link sent to me by the start of class on this day. The videos will be shown and evaluated in class on that day.
