I am an FFA Alumni from Lufkin High School. My experiences in FFA helped to mold me into the individual I am today. I participated in public speaking events, showed livestock and participated in judging contests through FFA.
In 2003 I graduated from the Texas Tech University College of Education with a Bachelors of Science in Multidisciplinary Studies. I am certified to teach Ag. Science and Technology courses and also hold other teaching certifications. This is my eighteenth year of teaching and my sixth year to teach at Slocum ISD.
In my spare time I enjoy working with horses. This is Hemi helping out as an equine skeleton model for Ag. Day 2018. Horses have been apart of my life for as long as I can remember. I earned my first paycheck by training horses as a teenager. At Texas Tech University I assisted special needs children during my equine therapy courses. I have also participated in barrel racing events, but lately enjoy the slower pace of trail riding on horseback.
