All sixth-grade students will be attending Open House on Thursday, March 12, 2026 and be giving their short speeches to small groups of visitors as they view the classrooms. The research and writing of the speeches will take place mainly at school, and the presentations will be given informally to small groups of visitors as they peruse the classroom. Students may dress up as the character/figure/creature they chose, or they may simply wear a chiton (aka toga) to the event. Using the links above, students and parents will find the Open House Speech Assignment Prompt, the Research Guide Questions, and video instructions on making a "toga" (term used by the Romans) for both boys and girls. Students are being asked to wear their "togas" over existing clothes and to observe all school dress codes while at Open House. Students need will be giving their presentations during the first fifteen minutes of the classroom observations. They are then free to go view visit other classrooms on campus.
