Meet info

    • Runners should wear a pair of RUNNING SHOES (running spikes are optional).

    • Runners should dress for the weather (hot, cold, rain, etc.). A good rule of thumb when dressing for a run is to add 10 degrees to the temperature. If it’s 65 degrees, pretend it is 75 degrees when deciding what to wear to run. NOTE: Have your child bring warm clothes for when they are not running. They should have sweats on over their shorts and jerseys when not running to avoid injury.

    • ALL HOME MEETS are held at Island Lake State Park. A State Park pass is needed (you may already have a recreational pass on your license plate – check for a “P.” If not, there will be an $11.00 one-time entrance fee.)

    • STUDENTS MAY RIDE HOME WITH A PARENT/GUARDIAN FROM A HOME MEET (NO FORM (or sign out) NECESSARY). For Away meets, a transportation form must be completed and turned in.

    • We expect all runners to stay for the whole meet to cheer on their teammates and maintain a team feeling.
