Meet info
Runners should wear a pair of RUNNING SHOES (running spikes are optional).
Runners should dress for the weather (hot, cold, rain, etc.). A good rule of thumb when dressing for a run is to add 10 degrees to the temperature. If it’s 65 degrees, pretend it is 75 degrees when deciding what to wear to run. NOTE: Have your child bring warm clothes for when they are not running. They should have sweats on over their shorts and jerseys when not running to avoid injury.
ALL HOME MEETS are held at Island Lake State Park. A State Park pass is needed (you may already have a recreational pass on your license plate – check for a “P.” If not, there will be an $11.00 one-time entrance fee.)
STUDENTS MAY RIDE HOME WITH A PARENT/GUARDIAN FROM A HOME MEET (NO FORM (or sign out) NECESSARY). For Away meets, a transportation form must be completed and turned in.
We expect all runners to stay for the whole meet to cheer on their teammates and maintain a team feeling.
