Oil Slick Site 23051 2009-08-07

This is a suspected oil slick from Site 23051 in the Gulf of Mexico measuring 8.71 miles long and covering a surface area of 4.85 square miles. The image was captured on August 7th, 2009 by NASA's Terra spacecraft and is available from the MODIS image library. View this image in Google Earth.
