Meet the Teacher

Marie Cadotte

Marie has been a teacher in Catholic Education for 15 years. She is a graduate of St. John’s University with a BA in 1997 in Athletic Administration with a Minor in Sports Law. She also received an AS in 1993 from Kingsborough Community College in Community Health and Theatre Production. Marie then went on to receive her M. Ed in 2011 in Curriculum and Instruction. Prior to St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Academy, Marie taught Second Grade at Immaculate Heart of Mary School. In addition to teaching in the classroom, Marie is also the director and choreographer of St. Joseph the Worker’s dance program and showcases. Her experience runs over a span of 35 years as a student, teacher, performer, choreographer and director.

Marie is a native resident of the Bay Ridge community. Her son is a student at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Academy and began his education in the Pre-K 3 program when St. Joseph the Worker was established in 2012. Marie believes that teaching is more than just a passion, it is a way of life. She believes it is important to leave a lasting and positive impression on students to help them reach their dreams.
