Egg delivery is determined by the Mokelumne Fish hatchery and your sponsors. You will be contacted by your sponsor after you fill out the permit application. ( form 772). Eggs are usually transported in a cheesecloth sack packed in ice.
Permit
Please read all of the information on the permit, most notably the release site - MOKELUMNE Fish Hatchery ONLY!
Salmon eggs
Salmon embryo begins to develop, gradually forming organs. Because they are cold blooded, development rate depends on the water temperature. The colder the water, the slower the development. Eggs develop eyes first.
Calculate your salmon egg hatching time by using This worksheet and this Table.
Think of the aquarium as a model ecosystem.
