MISSION
The mission of Title VI Indian Education is to enhance the educational achievement and cultural awareness of American Indian & Alaska Native students in the Siren School District.
TITLE VI GOALS
To assist in increasing the integration of Native American specific content into the curriculum at Siren Schools
To assist in increasing the academic achievement of Native American students in Siren Schools
To assist in increasing the attendance rate for Native American students in Siren Schools
STUDENT ENROLLMENT
Federal funds are based on the number of enrolled American Indian/Alaska Native students in the Title VI Project. Approximately 130 Early Childhood – 12 students of documented American Indian/Alaska Native ancestry are enrolled annually.
ENROLLMENT REQUIREMENTS & RECRUITMENT
Student must:
be enrolled in the Siren School District
meet federal eligibility requirements (student, parent or grandparent enrolled in a state or federally-recognized Tribe/Band/Nation)
Parent/Guardian must:
complete a Title VI Student Eligibility Certification form and return it to the Title VII office at Siren School.
