Some of the ethnic minority languages of Asia have no written form. SIL linguists are often invited to learn and analyze these minority languages, and cooperate with ethnic communities in language development. Over the past 25 years, SIL personnel have cooperated with various Thai partners in the areas of linguistics, literacy, research and translation.
