Maureen Smyth, School Librarian:

Ms. Smyth has served as SHR's school librarian since 2008. Before coming to South, she worked as a librarian at Rutgers University, Princeton Public Library and Gill St. Bernard's School. Past professional experience includes 17 years in the archaeology and museums fields. A graduate of Rutgers University with a BA in Archeology and Anthropology, she holds an MA in Archeology from Boston University and an MLIS from Rutgers University. She is the co-author of Teaching the Scientific Literature Review: Collaborative Lessons for Guided Inquiry (2nd ed., 2014), which received the 2010 Research Award from the NJ Association of College & Research Libraries. Ms. Smyth is an avid reader, especially sci-fi and mysteries. She is interested in tech in education, food, travel, film, and dogs.
