Hello, SCS Families and Students!

My name is Sarah Richard and I am the Leadership Academy Humanities Teacher and the leader of the Wolves’ House. This will be my 6th year here at SCS and my 11th year of teaching. I cannot imagine teaching anywhere else; I love the SCS family!

I was born and raised in Oregon and I love it here! I am married and my partner and I have two amazing daughters. Ellie is 8 and going into 3rd grade. Evie is 6 and will be in 1st grade this year. Our dogs, Jasper and Emily, have fun playing with the girls and being lazy after going on long walks. I enjoy going to the beach and spending time with my whole family. I also work at the Oregon Zoo and love seeing SCS families there! Look for me there on school breaks!

I majored in History when I was an undergrad at PSU and that is my favorite subject! I try to make it fun and engaging for everyone, with very little memorization of dates! I love teaching and I am looking forward to seeing all the great things your students do this year. We will make it a great year!
