Teaching

In the academic year 2023-24, I am teaching MAS61016 Analytical Dynamics and Classical Field Theory (semester 1). All modules use Blackboard.

Research

My research interests lie in classical general relativity and quantum field theory in curved space-time.  I am particularly interested in black holes.

Together with Xavier Calmet (University of Sussex) and Bernard Carr (Queen Mary, University of London), I wrote the book "Quantum Black Holes", published by Springer in 2014.
