This class is similar to the intro to art class but with a focus on crafts and cultural traditions. This class will survey a wide range of crafts including; calligraphy, quilting, paper-making, textile dyeing, basket weaving, jewelry, sewing, candle making, mosaics, paper-mache, and much more. A large focus of this class is learning about world cultures through the exploration of art.

Required Materials:

• One-inch binder to keep class handouts

• Pencil each day in class

• Sketchbook optional

• Colored Pencils
