Meet Mrs. Kuhn

Welcome to my website! I'm Kelly Kuhn, the director of orchestras at Wilson High School and West Middle School. I began teaching at Wilson in 2008 after completing my Bachelor of Music in Music Education at Susquehanna University. My primary instrument was voice, but studied and performed cello all through college. Outside of teaching, I have performed in various string quartets, pit orchestras, chamber ensembles, and occasionally with the Reading Pops. Periodically, I have taught private piano, violin, and cello (of course!). I've taken various graduate courses at West Chester University and most recently, Wilkes University where I earned my Masters of Science in Educational Strategies and Development.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my husband, and our three children. I love to sew, travel, and camp. This summer we traveled to Maine and Ohiopyle State Park. In spite of a summer full of adventure, I am excited to return to school and make music with my wonderful students, reconnecting with those who are returning, and anxious to get to know the new ones. Thank you for stopping by!
