Scott D. Graber - Art Educator
Scott comes to Wilson from Darby, PA. He is a 1994 graduate from Penn Wood High School, located in Lansdowne, PA. Scott received his BS in Art Education from Kutztown University in 1998. In the spring of 1999 he was the Graduate Assistant for the Art Education & Crafts Department at Kutztown University. In December 2005, Scott completed his M. Ed. degree in Art Education at Kutztown University.
In the fall of 1999 Scott came to the Wilson School District. During his first year he taught part-time at Wilson High
School and taught 2 sections of first and second grade students at Sinking Spring Elementary School. With the introduction of new art courses, Scott's position became full-time at the high school.
With his dedication and with the hard work of his former colleague (Robert Chappel), the high school art program has doubled in size and has become a thriving entity at Wilson High School. Scott teaches or has taught the following courses: Advanced Ceramics, Drawing/Painting 1, Drawing/Painting2, Drawing/Painting 3, Sculpture/Ceramics, Digital Drawing/Painting, Advanced Ceramics, and Advanced Placement Art Studio.
During the spring months, one can find Scott on the baseball diamond. Since 1999 Scott has been the assistant baseball coach at Wilson's Southern Junior High School. In 2011 Scott became the Head Coach for the Freshman Baseball team. In 2021 Scott stepped down from coaching to be able to spend time with his family and coach his kids.
Mr. Graber is also an avid artist. He specializes in doing custom airbrush paintings. He has done work for the Gilmore/Henne Foundation, painted Chad Henne's wedding portrait ABC's Extreme Home Makeover, and has done work for Touch of Class Dance company in Delaware County, PA.
Mr. Graber lives in Sinking Spring with his wife, 2 sons, and breaded dragon.
