L3Harris STEM Challenge Date: April 6 and 8, 2026
Location: ESF
Challenge: Teams of 6 students will participate in four challenges testing their skills in coding, collaboration, communication, and creating(engineering)
Teams: Each school may have two seventh grade team of six students and two eighth grade team of six students. Teams must be diverse and reflect the demographics of their school. Students should possess a variety of skills, not just math and science talent.
Coaches: One 7th and one 8th grade coach per school. A coaching honorarium will be provided after the challenge.
Coach’s Responsibilities:
Attend the Coach Training Day on September 23, 2025 at ESF and disseminate information about STEM lessons/challenges to teachers at your school. Substitute funding will be provided.
Complete curated lessons or teacher created lessons/activities to prepare students to use skills/technologies outlined by the competition directors.
Register the team for competition
Ensure the proper completion of field trip paperwork
Serve as a supervisor of the team at the L3Harris STEM challenge on April 6 and/or 8, 2026. Substitute funding will be provided.
