• Disposal wording for a BSL-1 project: Plates will remain closed and sealed for the duration of the project. At the time of disposal, the designated supervisor will submerge the plates in a 10% bleach solution and open the plates. The plates will remain in the 10% bleach solution for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, the plates will be thrown away in the laboratory trash.
