What would have life been like if you were a teenager in the 1930s? This is your chance to find out! You will explore a number of websites and find the answer to different questions. Each of these questions will help you imagine life in the 1930s and they will also help you understand some of the events in the novel To Kill a Mockingbird.
First, your group of two or three will consider what life was like in the 1930s. Each group member will take on a number of questions under each task. You have one hour to complete this portion of the Webquest. If time gets short, you'll need to help your teammates work more effectively. You should make notes on a sheet of paper and then work with your teammates to summarize your findings and theirs on the answer sheet, which is the paper your group will submit for evaluation.
Next time, you and your teammates will investigate education and racism during this time period and follow the same process above.
Start with the first task (life in the 1930's South) and work your way through. You won't want to skip around. I will be available if you have any questions and I will be checking in with you from time to time to monitor your progress.
