Dear Small Wonder's Families,
Our rabbits above are eagerly awaiting for Easter's joy. We made the adorable little rabbits from our lunch milk cartons. The children have been enamored by them and are eager to see them filled on Tuesday. Thank you to Mrs. Maldonado for making the rabbits come alive with her extra care. The children will also have a nice surprise in their cubbies on their return. We are looking forward to their joy filled faces. Easter is joy and our Catholic faith celebrates the joy of Easter for 50 days but particularly so during the octave days. We filled our jar with God's light and will enjoy an ice cream party later next week. I will send out information on the ingredients 24 hours before we serve the treats.
A few weeks ago I read a story about about a little boy who brought a robot to school and had trouble sharing it. It was a nice story about sharing but the funny thing is that ever since that story children are bringing toys in their backpacks. I think they have the intention to show and share but the toys are becoming a distraction in the classroom. If you could please check your child's backpack for toys over the weekend, we appreciate it. Towards the end of the year we will do a favorite toy show and tell but until then it's best the toys stay home. Students are still welcome to bring one stuffed animal in for rest time.
Happy Triduum! Thank you to all who brought in sweet surprises today for us and the children, we appreciate your Easter anticipation and joy. I hope you have a blessed Easter. Enjoy the picture walk below that show our Holy Week lessons, rhyming activities, and a spring discovery.
God Bless,
Mrs. Plante and Mrs. Maldonado
