Hello and welcome Second Grade Families!

My name is Mrs. Jennifer Larkin, and I am so excited to be your second grade teacher this year! This is my tenth year teaching at Saint Francis Xavier and I feel so blessed to share it with you. 

I graduated from Lesley University where I earned my Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education. Since then I have been working to further my education. I love learning new things to bring to the classroom and share them with my students.

It is important to me to empower my students' learning through fostering creativity and individual expression. This method helps them explore different areas of learning through the arts in order to accommodate their different learning styles. In our classroom we enjoy lots of group work and project based learning! 

I believe that all students are unique and need a teacher that will focus on each students individual needs in a safe and stimulating environment. I want my students to be able to flourish and explore so that they can reach their full potential.

I live in Rochester with my husband Matthew, my daughter Abigail and our dog Frankie. My youngest daughter Emily lives in the "Sunshine State" of Florida. 

It's going to be a fun year full of learning and new adventures!
