Level I is the starting foundation for world (foreign) language learning. Memorization of vocabulary and grammar facts is essential. Students considering taking Level I of a foreign language should posses strong verbal and writing skills, as they will be required to read, write and speak in the world language.
Here is what you can expect when you sign up for Level I French, German or Spanish:
