My name is Ms. Martin, and I am the Grade 7 Math teacher at SeDoMoCha Middle School! This is my eleventh year at SeDo and I'm so excited to get to know my students and help them to love math!
7th Grade Math Syllabus-
What will we cover this year in math?
This year, you will focus on making connections in math to the outside world. You will be responsible for learning new topics and for applying them to information you have already gathered. You will be amazing mathematicians and problem solvers by the end of this year! We have five units to cover this year. These major units include numbers and operations, algebra, geometry, data analysis, and probability.
Students will be responsible for demonstrating that they have mastered each standard within the units. Students will show their understanding through multiple formative and summative assessments.
Formative assessments are work that helps you practice new skills and determine where you may need more guidance. Summative assessments are evaluations (quizzes, projects, etc.) that measure what you have learned.

You will use this Google Classroom as a learning platform DAILY to receive and submit assignments.

You will receive Google Classroom codes during the first week of school! Parents and guardians will be invited once students have joined.
Savvas Realize (formally known as Pearson Realize) - This is your online math curriculum and textbook. You will sign in here to read the book, watch videos, and complete work. The website is https://www.savvasrealize.com
