My name is Sarah Dean, I grew up in Carmel Valley and graduated from Torrey Pines High School. I have a BA in Spanish from Sonoma State University and a Masters degree in Spanish from Cal State San Marcos. During my undergraduate studies, I went abroad for two years studying in Madrid, Spain at La Universidad Complutense de Madrid and in Santiago, Chile at La Universidad Católica.
I started teaching in Los Angeles county in 2009 and have been teaching Spanish 1 and Spanish 2 at CVMS since 2012. Go Bobcats! I have taught Spanish at the Jr. high and high school level as well as at Cal State San Marcos to undergraduate students. While I enjoyed each level for different reasons I feel I shine the brightest as a Jr. high school teacher, its where I do my best work and have the most fun.
Before having my own children I traveled to multiple countries in Europe, South America and through much of India. Now I spend most of my free time playing with Legos and monster trucks with my two sons.
