Selection Process

1. The applications are turned in to me (NHS advisor)

2. "Committee members" (faculty at LCC) volunteer their time to review applications

3. They select "yes" or "no" based on the application requirements the student turned in (application, referral history, transcripts, essay, resume etc.)

4. If an application is returned with "no" it is sent to a new committee member who reviews the same information and determines "yes" or "no"

5. If there are 2 "no" responses the student is not invited to be a member. If there is one yes and one no then the application goes to a 3rd new committee member.

Below you may read the NHS chapter requirements on member selection:

See Chapter 4 for additional information.

Students who disagree with the above may request an appeal within 5 days of notification of not being selected. The request should be sent to the current club advisor.
