2023-2024
Congratulations! You’re accepted to the La Costa Canyon High School Chapter of the National Honor Society!
When you submitted the application for membership, you agreed that in order to maintain your status as a “member in good standing” with the LCCHS National Honor Society, you would complete the following requirements:
Attendance at all NHS meetings
Maintain a minimum 3.5 GPA
Have no discipline or academic dishonesty referrals resulting in disciplinary action
Complete the community service requirements:
Participate in at least one club sponsored community service events (NHS will be offering four events throughout the year)
Complete 10 hours of individual community service per semester with documentation/verification
Failure to uphold your obligations as a member in good standing of the LCCHS National Honor Society will result in a status review by the Faculty Council, and may result in dismissal from the club.
Membership dues are $10, and must be paid virtually on the LCC ASB webstore (please note that the webstore is not currently open, but will be in the fall). These dues help to pay the charter fee, club supplies, and cords at graduation.
You DO NOT need to pay again if you paid last year, unless you needed to reapply.
You are required to attend our first meeting in the beginning of the school year in the Learning Commons at lunch, date is TBD. Please be on time. If you cannot attend you must contact an officer to excuse you.
If you have any questions, please contact the 2023-2024 student leadership or the advisor, Ms. Solomon (Caitlin.Solomon@sduhsd.net). Remember, correspondence for this club should be through students, not parents.
